The Lions have designated RB Kerryon Johnson to return from injured reserve, per Dave Birkett.
This officially opens a three-week window of time for Johnson to practice with the team before Detroit has to activate Johnson.
Johnson was placed on injured reserve earlier this season with a knee injury. He could return for Detroit’s game in Week 16.
Johnson, 22, is a former second-round pick of the Lions back in 2018. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $6,503,698 rookie contract that included a $2,809,960 signing bonus.
In 2019, Johnson has appeared in six games for the Lions and rushed for 308 yards on 92 carries (3.3 YPC) to go along with nine receptions for 126 yards receiving and three total touchdowns.
