Lions Re-Signing CB Nevin Lawson To Two-Year, $10.3M Deal

Jason La Canfora reports that the Lions are re-signing CB Nevin Lawson to a two-year, $10.3 million contract.

Lawson, 24, is a former fourth-round pick by the Lions out of Utah State back in the 2014 NFL Draft. He just finished his four-year, $3,449,349 rookie contract and was set to enter the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Lawson appeared in 15 games for the Lions and recorded 47 total tackles, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, scored one defensive touchdown, and had four pass defenses. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 112 overall cornerback out of 121 qualifiers.
