Brad Galli of WXYZ reports that Lions S James Ihedigbo is seeking a new contract and plans to hold out of offseason workouts.

Ihedigbo, 31, has one year remaining on hisย two-year, $3.15 million contractย that includedย $750,000 guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary of $1.1 million for the 2015 season and has already been paid aย $500,000 roster bonus on third day of league year.
According to Wilson, the Lions were made aware ofย Ihedigbo’s demands prior to his roster bonus.
In 2014,ย Ihedigbo appeared in 13 games and recorded 71 tackles, two sacks, four interceptions, three forced fumbles, a recovery and eight pass defenses.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 14 safetyย out of 87 qualifying players.
