Lions Sign DL George Johnson

The Detroit Lions signed DL George Johnson, according to his agent Brian Levy.

Johnson, 26, signed with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers back in 2010. He spent the 2011 season in Tampa Bay before joining the Vikings the following season.

Last year, he managed to secure a spot on the 53-man roster, but was later waived in October to make room for DE Justin Trattou.

Johnson last appeared in a game during the 2012 season, so he’ll obviously have to earn a roster again this year.
