The Detroit Lions announced Monday that they’ve signed TE Hakeem Valles to their practice squad.
The Lions’ practice squad now consists of:
- CB Mike Ford
- WR Chris Lacy
- QB Jake Rudock
- DT John Atkins
- LB Trevor Bates
- C Leo Koloamatangi
- G Jamil Demby
- TE Jerome Cunningham
- CB Dee Virgin
- TE Hakeem Valles
Valles, 25, wound up signing on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of back in May of Monmouth last year. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad before eventually being promoted to their active roster in October.
Arizona elected to cut Valles loose as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players and he’s been on and off of the Lions’ practice squad this season.
In 2018, Valles has appeared in three games for the Lions and caught two passes for 11 yards receiving.
