The Detroit Lions announced Friday that they’ve signed WR Deontez Alexander to their practice squad and released DT John Atkins from the unit.

- G Jamil Demby
- CB Dee Virgin
- LB Garrett Dooley (Injured)
- TE Jerome Cunningham
- DB David Jones
- DB Andre Chachere
- DE Eric Lee
- WR Deontez Alexander
Alexander wound up signing on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Franklin back in May. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Lions, but was unfortunately waived with an injury designation during the preseason and later reverted to their injured reserve list.
The Lions waived Alexander from injured reserve with a settlement soon after.
During his two years at Franklin, Alexander caught 114 passes for 2,133 yards receiving to go along with 33 touchdowns over the course of 21 games.</div>
