Aaron Wilson, citing a league source, reports that the Lions are signing former Bengals CB Tony McRae.
McRae, 26, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina A&T back in May of 2017. However, he lasted less than a week with the Raiders before he was waived and later signed by the Bengals during the preseason.
McRae was on and off of the Bengals’ active roster in 2017 and returned to Cincinnati on a future/reserve contract for the 2018 season. However, he was later waived and had brief stints with the Ravens and Bills before returning to the Bengals in 2018.
Cincinnati brought McRae back on a one-year deal last year.
In 2019, McRae appeared in all 16 games and recorded 19 tackles and a pass defense.
