Mike Garafolo reports that the Lions are signing veteran OL Oday Aboushi to a one-year deal worth up to $2 million.
Aboushi, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jets back in 2013. He spent two years in New York before he was cut loose and later claimed off waivers by the Texans a few weeks into the 2015 season.
Aboushi played out the final year of his four-year, $2.359 million rookie contract before signing a one-year deal with the Seahawks as a free agent. Unfortunately, his 2017 season ended after he was placed on injured reserve.
The Raiders signed Aboushi to a contract last year, but was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. He later caught on with the Cardinals in October and eventually earned a starting role.
In 2018, Aboushi appeared eight games for the Cardinals and Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 41 overall guard out of 77 qualifying players.
