The Detroit Lions appear to be preparing Shaun Hill to start Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos as Chris McCosky reports that Hill was handling the first-team reps during Wednesday’s practice.
So far the Lions have been keeping Matthew Stafford‘s activity limited to stretching, jogging and some light throwing but at this point it’s hard to say that he’ll be ready for game action this weekend. Getting Hill prepared for Sunday doesn’t rule Stafford out as it would be wise for them to have a contigency plan in place if Stafford does end up missing Week 8’s game.
