According to Aaron Wilson, the Lions brought in veteran free agent DT Jay Bromley for a workout on Tuesday.
Bromley, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $3,003,876 rookie contract and signed on with the Saints in May of 2018.
The Saints elected to release Bromley coming out of the preseason as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players and bounced on and off their active roster.
The 49ers signed him to a contract in August of last year but he was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
In 2018, Bromley appeared in two games for the Saints and recorded four tackles, one tackle for loss, and no sacks.
