Mark Sanchez Works Out With Pennington & Chad Henne Remains An Option

Mark Sanchez

ESPN New York reports that Jets QB Mark Sanchez recently spent time with former Dolphins QB Chad Pennington in an attempt to learn Tony Sparano’s offensive system.

Pennington played for Sparano for three season in Miami so the meeting is at the very least a sign that Sanchez realizes that this season will most likely be a make or break season for him.

Sanchez is unable to meet with Sparano directly until April 16th because of the CBA rules so it makes sense for him to prepare ahead of time.

Chad Henne

ESPN New York reports that leagues source have suggested that Chad Henne is one of the quarterbacks on Jets’ “radar.”

Henne’s name has already been floated as possible free agent option for the Jets now that they’ve hired former Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano as their offenisve coordinator. Other reports have mentioned that Henne could be the third best available option at quarterback on the open market behind only Peyton Manning and Matt Flynn.
