There have been some suggestions that the Bills would be willing to trade Marshawn Lynch only because they could acquire McGahee afterwards. This idea remains pure speculation at this point but seems very unlikely because of the fact that the Bills gave McGahee away a few years back.
As for the Packers interest in McGahee, the team is going with Brandon Jackson as their No. 1 back but he hasn’t shown signs of being the explosive back that can shoulder the load for a team. Today’s game against the Bills will show the team where their running game currently stands. If they struggle, the team will have to look for better options and as of now McGahee is the best available option.
