Mike Singletary Could Get Another Head Coaching Job Next Year?

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that seven high-ranking people around the league believe former 49ers HC Mike Singletary will get another head-coaching job in 2015.

  • Aaron Nagler of SI.com mentions that Singletary signed with agent Gil Scott this past summer with goal of landing another head coaching job.

This is certainly surprising news given how things went for him in San Francisco.

Singletary took over for Mike Nolan after he was fired during the 2008 season. He spent the better part of three seasons as the 49ers head coach before he was fired at the conclusion of the 2010 season and replaced by Jim Harbaugh.

After he was fired by San Francisco, Singletary joined the Minnesota Vikings coaching staff as their linebackers coach and assistant to the head coach.

As a head coach, Singletary has won 18 games and lost 22 (.462).
