Mutual Interest Between Buccaneers & S J.J. Wilcox

Jenna Laine of ESPN reports that the Buccaneers have free agent S J.J. Wilcox on their radar and there’s mutual interest between the two parties.

Wilcox, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2013. He has played out his four-year, $2,811,068 contract with the Cowboys and is now testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2016, Wilcox appeared in 13 games and recorded 49 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble and six pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 27 safety out of 89 qualifying players.
