Ndamukong Suh Cancels Raiders’ Visit, Considering Rams, Saints & Titans

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, free agent DT Ndamukong Suh has canceled his visit with the Raiders and has returned home.

Rapoport says that Suh is not expected to make a decision today, but he’s considering the Rams, who made a strong impression on him during their recent meeting, along with the Saints and Titans.

The fact that Suh canceled his visit with the Raiders appears to be an indication that he’s close to deciding on his next team. The Seahawks and Cowboys were also mentioned as potential options for Suh, but have yet to met with him or even schedule a visit.

It’s worth mentioning that signing Suh to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.

Suh, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Lions back in 2010. He spent five years in Detroit before signing a six-year, $114 million contract that included $60 million guaranteed with the Dolphins a few years ago.

Suh was set to make base salaries of $16.985 million (2018), $18.985 million (2019), and $18.36 million (2020) over the remainder of the contract when the Dolphins designated him as a post-June 1 release.

In 2017, Suh appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded 48 tackles, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 5 interior defender out of 122 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
