NFC East Notes: Cowboys, Eagles, Giants

Cowboys

Cowboys DE Randy Gregory told reporters that it “felt real good” to be back out there playing in a real NFL game after missing the past two years.

โ€œI havenโ€™t played an actual game inย basically two years,โ€ Gregory said, via ESPN.com. โ€œPractice is one thing. Conditioningโ€™s one thing. Personal trainingโ€™s one thing, but actually going out there and be with my guys and at least attempt to make some plays, it felt real good.โ€

  • Calvin Watkins mentions that Cowboys DLย Kony Ealy helped his cause a little bit, but it still might be too late for him to make the team.

Eagles

  • Eagles HC Doug Pederson said that TE Richard Rodgers is going to be โ€œweek to weekโ€ with a knee injury. (Eliot Shorr-Parks)
  • Eagles RB Donnel Pumphrey told reporters that he’s dealing with an โ€œupper hamstringโ€ injury and while he feels good enough to practice, the team doesn’t want him to re-aggravate the issue. (Jeff McLane)

Giants

  • Jordan Raanan reports that the Giants had interest in CB Orlando Scandrick before he agreed to a deal with the Chiefs on Sunday.ย Raanan adds that the Giants are far from set at cornerback position at this point.
  • Dan Duggan mentions that it would not be surprising to see the Giants sign a running back this week with some of the injuries they’re managing at the position.
