NFC East Notes: Eagles, Giants, Redskins

Eagles

• New Eagles DT Malik Jackson agreed to a three-year contract worth up $30M that includes $17M guaranteed and a $9M signing bonus. (Aaron Wilson)
• Jackson will make base salaries of $1M (2019), $7.6M which increases to $10M if option not exercised (2020), and $4.6M (2021).

Giants

• Jay Glazer of the Athletic explains that he made his bold prediction about the Giants trading Odell Beckham Jr based on information he already had. 
• Glazer explains that the Giants nearly traded Beckham last year and they likely wanted “less of Odell the brand, Odell off the field, and more of Odell on the field.”
• According to Glazer, the Giants almost moved on from Beckham before Pat Shurmur came in and was able to rectify the situation. 
• Beyond that, Glazer believes New York wants to shift the team to it being more about Saquon Barkley and felt that getting extra draft capital would help them address their other holes. 

Redskins 

• Rumors surfaced on Saturday the Redskins could be trading for Vikings WR Stefon Diggs. However, Adam Schefter reports that there are no ongoing negotiations between the two teams and Diggs is not being traded to Washington. 
• Schefter’s source responded, “F— no,” to the possible trade rumors. 
• Dianna Russini spoke with a Redskins source regarding the internet buzz who said:  “What do we have to trade!”
