NFC North Notes: Bears, Lions, Packers

Bears

Lions

  • According to Adam Schefter, tests showed that Lions WR Marvin Jones’ ACL and MCL are intact, but he did sustain a bone bruise and will be considered day to day.
  • Tom Pelissero reports that Lion P Sam Martin left Soldier Field on Sunday in an ambulance as a precaution after spitting up a little blood following the team’s loss to the Bears.
  • Martin was evaluated at a hospital to make sure there wasn’t blood in his lungs, but was able to fly home with the team and should be fine.
  • Lions HC Matt Patricia said he’s not considering further staff changes right now. (Kyle Meinke)

Packers

The Packers are expected to active WR/KR Trevor Davis from injured reserve this week and believes he can step in and make a big impact for them on special teams.

I think I can make a big impact but at the end of the day, you’ve got to just go out there and let the plays come to you,” Davis said, per Rob Demovsky. “I can’t go out there trying to chase plays because I lost half of my season. But at the end of the day, plays will come. I can’t go out there trying to make plays because I’m trying to make up for plays that I missed.”

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Packers S Kentrell Brice left Sunday’s with a bone bruise in his ankle, but the good news is that X-Rays came back negative. Brice is considered week-to-week, but will have a tough time playing on Thursday.
  • Packers signed DT Deon Simon to their practice squad. (NFLTR)
