NFC Notes: 49ers, Lions, Saints, Vikings

49ers

Regarding the possibility of appearing on HBO’s “Hard Knocks”,ย 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said he has a “hard, hard, bad stance” against the show.

โ€œIt’s a hard, hard, bad stance, โ€˜Hard Knocks,โ€™โ€ Shanahan said, via Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports. โ€œYou will see the worst entertainment possible by me.โ€

Last year, 49ers GM John Lynch explained that he has fundamentalย issues with “Hard Knocks” airing roster transactions.

โ€œItโ€™s not something we would be really excited about,โ€ Lynch said. โ€œI love the show, but I think some things are best left behind closed doors. I fundamentally have a problem with cutting players and things of that nature (on camera). Itโ€™s not something weโ€™d be thrilled about.โ€
