NFC Notes: Cowboys, Eagles, Giants

Cowboys

  • Tony Pauline said on the โ€œDraft Insidersโ€ podcast that free agent EDGE Jadeveon Clowney would be happy signing a โ€œdecentโ€ one-year contract with a playoff-contending team at this point, as opposed to a three-year contract a middle-of-the-road team.
  • According to Pauline, the two teams on top of Clowneyโ€™s list are the Cowboys and Saints. Although, Pauline admits that the cap situations of those two teams would likely prevent them from bringing Clowney in.
  • Pauline also says he doesnโ€™t know whether either the Cowboys or Saints would be interested in adding him at this point.

Eagles

Giants

  • Ryan Dunleavy reports that the Arkansas Razorbacks are filing a motion to dismiss a $7 million lawsuit from Giants assistant coach Bret Bielema over severance pay for being fired from Arkansas.
  • Ralph Vacchiano believes that Giants GM David Gettleman is under the most pressure from the organization.
  • He notes that while Gettleman hasnโ€™t missed on all of his draft picks, he has made some poor free agent signings and trades. This has led to the organizationโ€™s patience for him being virtually non-existent, according to Vacchiano.
