  • Regarding the decision to release DT Tom Johnson, who ultimately signed with the Vikings rather than return to the Seahawks, Pete Carroll explained “we hoped to” bring him back and talked to him about returning. However, Johnson got a good offer and Seahawks couldn’t get re-sign him. (Bob Condotta)
  • Carroll was asked about the possibility of signing WR Dez Bryant, but said he likes the guys they have. (Mike Vorel)
  • Carroll says the NFL has informed them that LB Mychal Kendricks will be available for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys as he continues to appeal his suspension. (Brady Henderson)
  • Carroll expects LB Bobby Wagner to play in Week 3 but isn’t sure about K.J. Wright at this time.
  • Carroll mentioned that Ethan Pocic could fill in at center if needed with D.J. Fluker and J.R. Sweezy starting at guard while Justin Britt is out. (Bob Condotta)
