NFC West Notes: 49ers, Cardinals, Seahawks

49ers

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan gave DC Robert Saleh a vote of confidence and believes he’ll continue to get better in the coming years.

Saleh is a very, very good coach,” Shanahan said, via Matt Maiocco of NBS Sports. “He always has been. He still is, and he’s not a finished product, either, like we all aren’t. I think Saleh will continue to get better because he works at it. He’s very smart and I think he’s good right now.”

Cardinals

Seahawks

  • Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Saturday that WR Doug Baldwin will be a game-time decision, given that he’s been battling to get through the week due to a groin injury. (Curtis Crabtree)
  • The Seahawks officially list WR Doug Baldwin (hip), RB Rashaad Penny (ankle) and RB Tre Madden (chest) as questionable and have ruled out LB K.J. Wright.
  • Seahawks G D.J. Fluker is listed as doubtful but Carroll said he won’t play.
