NFC West Notes: Cardinals, Rams, Seahawks

Cardinals

Cardinals GM Steve Keim was asked Friday about the possibility of bringing in free agent WR Dez Bryant.
I always try and remain aggressive when it comes to player acquisition, regardless of whether it is a vet or someone we can kick the tires on as a young player,” Keim said, via AzCardinals.com. “But this isn’t fantasy football. There is a business side to this as well. To be honest, we talk about all these players. … but at the same time, there is a business side that can create obstacles.
Keim added that they’re always discussing possible additions.
“All of it,” Keim said. “We have that dialogue and conversations all day every day. That’s what we do. We’re not over here playing Fortnite.

Rams

Rams DT Aaron Donald says he feels good and “the rust is getting knocked off.

“I feel good, in shape. The rust is getting knocked off just right,” Donald said, via Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. “You kind of knew what to expect. Got the opportunity to come back and get six practices under my belt before the first game, so I think that’s going to be a bigger help for me as far as getting adjusted.

Seahawks

  • The Seahawks officially ruled out G D.J. Fluker (hamstring) and LB K.J. Wright (Knee) and list CB Dontae Johnson (hip) as questionable.
  • Seahawks HC Pete Carroll announced that DE Dion Jordan (knee) will play in Week 1 and admitted he wouldn’t have predicted Jordan could be ready so quickly. (Brady Henderson)
