NFC West Notes: Cardinals, Rams, Seahawks

Cardinals

Cardinals veteran WR Larry Fitzgerald says he’ll let the media know when/if he decides to retire from the NFL.

“If I decide to retire, I’ll let you guys know,” Fitzgerald said Thursday, via the AzCardinals.com. “Man, seriously. So, I don’t understand why we keep asking these questions.

“You know me; I’ve been answering for the last three years. Nothing’s going to change … I’m never going to tell you, ‘This is my last day. I’m excited. Honor me.’ Those words would never come out of my mouth, ever.

  • Cardinals GM Steve Keim said they plan to give Fitzgerald time after the season to decide whether he’ll continue his NFL career: “We don’t get into that with Larry at this point and time. It’s no different than the last couple of years. We will give him that grace period to sort of reflect and see how his body feels like a lot of the vets do. Those are the conversations that will come after the season.” (AzCardinals.com)
  • The Arizona Cardinals officially list S Rudy Ford (ribs), DE Markus Golden (ankle), DT Rodney Gunter (foot), G Will Holden (shoulder), WR J.J. Nelson (illness, not injury related), CB Patrick Peterson (illness), and TE Ricky Seals-Jones (illness) as questionable for Week 16.

Rams

  • The Los Angeles Rams officially list RB Justin Davis (shoulder) and RB Todd Gurley (knee) as questionable for Week 16.
