NFL Cancels Hall Of Fame Game, Postpones 2020 Enshrinement Ceremony

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the NFL has canceled this year’s Hall of Fame preseason game between the Cowboys and Steelers that was scheduled for August 6 in Canton, Ohio.

The league is also postponing the 2020 Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony due to the ongoing pandemic.

This is the first event the NFL has canceled regarding this year’s calendar.

Sources tell Schefter that the Cowboys and Steelers are expected to play in the 2021 Hall of Fame Game with the 2020 enshrinement ceremony also taking place next year.

The Cowboys and Steelers were preparing to be the first two teams to report to training camp in a month, but they’re not likely to report at the same time as the other NFL teams, which is believed to be July 28.

Schefter says there’s still no definitive word from the NFL about whether that will happen.
