As soon as you think you have Jim Harbaugh figured out he throws you a curve ball. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the San Francisco 49ers and Harbaugh have agreed to a five-year $25 million contract.
The news comes as a surprising considering that Stanford appeared to be in the lead as of this morning. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen tweets that a Stanford source was quoted as saying, “I thought we had (Harbaugh) back.”
Harbaugh will now get to stay in California and focus on rebuilding one of the NFL’s once dominate franchises.
