NFL News & Notes: Sept 15th

Here some of today’s smaller news stories:

  • The New York Jets have brought DT Howard Green in to fill the hole left by Kris Jenkins. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the deal is for two years. Green filled in for the Jets in a similar situation last season and managed to play 12 games for the team.
  • The Indianapolis Colts have decided to error on the side of caution and bring in safety DaJuan Morgan to fill in for Bob Sanders while he’s out with a bicep injury. The Colts also released Joe Reitz.
  • The NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora tweets that the Miami Dolphins have signed DL Lionel Dotson and LB Erik Walden. The team has waived DE Clifton Geathers and LB Micah Johnson in order to make room for them. 
  • Pro Football Talk reports that the Kansas City Chiefs have placed LB Cameron Sheffield on IR ending his season.
  • Kevin Boss will be forced to sit out this weekends game against the Colts because of a concussion that he suffered during last weekends game against the Panthers.
