NFL Notes: Ahmad Brooks, Bills, Buccaneers, & Ravens

Ahmad Brooks

According to TMZ Sports, the same women who accused Bears DL Ray McDonald of raping her is now suing 49er OLB Ahmad Brooks for “assault and battery, false imprisonment and infliction of emotional distress.

The report mentions that the woman was at McDonald‘s home in December of last year and slipped and fell on the deck around his swimming pool. She was knocked unconscious for over than eight minutes.

During the time in which she was unconscious, the women claims Brooks “groped her person in a sexual manner.” According to the women, the video shows evidence of this.

McDonald allegedly carried her up to his bedroom where he had sex with her without consent.

49ers GM Trent Baalke (per Matt Barrows) said of the report: “We were disappointed to learn of this matter and will continue to monitor the situation.”

Bills

Bills HC Rex Ryan confirmed that he had dinner with LSU OL La’el Collins.

I did have dinner with him. That’s really the extent of it,” Ryan said, via Mike Rodak of ESPN.com.

Buccaneers

The Buccaneers informed Demar Dotson that he’ll move back to right tackle while second-round pick Donovan Smith will enter training camp as the team’s left tackle.

“When I left, there were indications that I was going to come back and start off on the left, so I did train myself, prepare myself to come back and play left,” Dotson said, via Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times. “Shortly after we got back, they said it depends on who we draft. Then after we drafted the kid from, I’m not sure where he’s from, but the kid, Donovan kid, they said they were going to put me back to right and perhaps put that kid on the left. … I was told that’s going to be a big thing to build through the draft, to get some young guys in there that can come in and compete and make this offensive line better. We struggled in so many ways last year. It’s going to be good competition, with guys coming back that are hungry and young guys coming in that I hope are hungry.”

Ravens

Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome told reporters that they aren’t done adding players to their roster.

We’re not done putting this team together right now,” Newsome said, via BaltimoreRavens.com. “It’s still two or three months – maybe four months – before we have to play Denver.

“We as a personnel staff, we’re still going to be mining for players to make our roster, to make us, better,” Newsome added.

  • Aaron Wilson reports that the Ravens have invited Delaware WR Andrew Opoku to participate in their rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.
