Browns

  • Browns signed TE Manasseh Garner and DB Joe Rankin.
  • Browns waived LB Darius Eubanks and TE Kevin Haplea.

Colts

  • Colts signed free agent G Dionte Savage.
  • Colts waived OT Matt Hall and G Kitt O’Brien.

Patriots

  • Mike Reiss mentions that CB Malcolm Butler has taken the large marjority of snaps at left cornerback for the Patriots, which is a sign he’s the favorite for the job.
  • According to Reiss, Seahawks MLB Bobby Wagner‘s new four-year, $43 million extension will likely provide the framework for new contract for linebackers Dont’a Hightower and Jamie Collins.

Saints

Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune mentions that Saints first-round OT Andrus Peat’s poor conditioning is privately a concern for the team.

Duncan writes of Peat’s issues: “In 15 years of covering the NFL, I’ve never seen a player struggle as much as Peat did on Friday.”

  • Undrafted rookie WR Willie Snead is drawing comparisons to a young Lance Moore, according to Duncan.
  • Rookie quarterback Garrett Grayson had his share of good and bad moments.
