Al Michaels of NBC Sports mentioned during the Hall of Fame game broadcast that he spoke to Donald Trump and the billionaire told him that he made a $1 billion offer for the franchise.

โ€œHe said he offered $1 billion. All cash, no contingencies, immediate closing. Heโ€™d have the check in one hour,โ€ Michaels said, via Pro Football Talk. โ€œHe was a little miffed that it went out for bid again.โ€

Previous reports mentioned thatย Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula actually made an offer above $1 billion, and the process is expected to head into the second round.
