Bills

• WR Hakeem Nicks returned to practice on Tuesday after taking Monday off. (Mike Wells)
• The Colts are dealing with a number of injuries at middle linebacker as Kelvin Sheppard, Josh McNary and Andrew Jackson are all nicked up as of now. (Mike Wells)

Lions

• Detroit has Reggie Bush, Joique Bell and Mikel LeShoure listed as their top-three running backs.
• Second-round pick Kyle Van Noy is listed as a second-string linebacker.
• As expected, Rashean Mathis and Darius Slay are the Lions starting cornerbacks.
• LaAdrian Waddle is currently the team’s starting right tackle on their depth chart.
• The Lions have Nate Freese listed as their starting kicker.

Panthers

• HC Ron Rivera mentioned that they have yet to decided if QB Cam Newton will play in Friday’s preseason opener. (Joe Person)
