NFL Notes: Browns, Dolphins, Patriots, Rams, Saints, & Seahawks

Browns

• Jeff McLane reports that the Browns were interested in trading for QB Sam Bradford before the Rams sent him to the Eagles for Nick Foles and draft picks.

Dolphins

• Barry Jackson reports that the Dolphins are hosting free agent CB Brice McCain for a visit on Wednesday.

Patriots

• Albert Breer thinks Patriots CB Brandon Browner is expendable now that CB Darrelle Revis has signed elsewhere, as New England will no longer play the same style next year.

Rams

• Nick Wagoner mentions that Patriots free agent OLB Akeem Ayers is a name to keep an eye on for the Rams.

Saints

• Saints GM Mickey Loomis said they will replace TE Jimmy Graham‘s production with Ben Watson, Josh Hill and “obviously” look for another guy. (Tom Pelissero)
• Loomis also said that they didn’t ask QB Drew Brees to restructure his contract because they thought it “wasn’t necessary for us,” even though he carries a $26.4 million cap figure in 2015. (Tom Pelissero)

• Adam Caplan reports that free-agent G Shelley Smith is scheduled to visit with the Seahawks on Wednesday.
