NFL Notes: Chiefs, Colts, Cowboys, & Panthers

Chiefs

• RB Jamaal Charles (ankle) practice for third straight day on Saturday. (Herbie Teope)
• Chiefs S Eric Berry (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 4.

Colts

• Colts promoted ILB Andrew Jackson to the active roster from the practice squad and waived-injured ILB Mario Harvey.

Cowboys

• Todd Archer doesn’t expect the Cowboys to pick up DT Henry Melton‘s 2015 option that would pay him $9 million guaranteed.
• Archer mentions that WR Dez Bryant, RB DeMarco Murray and WR Dwayne Harris are all candidates to be re-signed this offseason.
• Archer can see the Cowboys keeping CB Morris Claiborne next year, despite his struggles given that hie $2.6 million base salary is guaranteed.
• However, Archer doesn’t see Dallas picking up his Claiborne’s fifth-year option.

Panthers

• Panthers sign RB Tauren Poole to their active roster from the practice squad.
• Panthers placed OL Garry Williams placed on season-ending injured reserve.
