NFL Notes: Colin Kaepernick, Eagles, Ravens, Saints

Colin Kaepernick

An NFC executive tells Jeremy Fowler of ESPN that Colin Kaepernick is the “most physically gifted” free agent quarterback still available.

โ€œOf the remaining (three), Kaepernick is the most physically gifted and would likely be the choice, but not until I worked him out and had him in for a physical,โ€ the executive said.

An AFC executive listed Kaepernick, Robert Griffin III, Dan Orlovsky and Shaun Hill as the top four quarterback options.

Eagles

Eagles HC Doug Pederson admitted that there’s a chance they could move LT Jason Peters to guard in the coming years.

“It’s hard to speculate,” Pederson said, via Philly.com. “Guard could be a potential spot down the road. We’ll cross that bridge [when we get to it]. Right now, he’s the left tackle and Lane [Johnson] is the right tackle.”

The Eagles announced that they’ve signed Peters to a one-year extension (NFLTR) on Wednesday.

Ravens

Ravens G Marshal Yanda, who underwent offseason shoulder surgery, guaranteed he will be ready for the start of the regular season

I can tell you Week 1, I will be out there for sure. ” Yanda said, per Jamison Hensley.

Saints

  • Saints WR Willie Snead said he’s not too worried about his contract situation but is hoping that it will be resolved before the start of training camp. (Josh Katzenstein)
