- HC Joe Philbin said that he plans to keep DC Kevin Coyle, even though the team struggled again on Sunday.

- Gary Myers of the New York Daily News writes that veteran WR Wes Welker would be a “perfect fit” for the Giants, given that they’ll be without slot receiver Victor Cruz for an undisclosed period of time.
- Even though the Giants make sense on paper, Myers notes that Welker’s concussion history remains a serious concern moving forward.
- Myers adds that unless Dwayne Harris, Geremy Davis or Shane Vereen step up in today’s game, Welker could still beย a “viable”ย weapon for Eli Manning out of the slot.

- Joel Corry of CBS Sports notes that if the Panthers were to use their franchise tag on CB Josh Norman next year, it would run them close toย $13.8 million as long as the salary cap remains at $154 million.

- According to Ian Rapoport, the Texans are planning for RB Arian Fosterย to be aย full-go for Week 5’s match up next Thursday.
