Draft

  • Mike Mayock of the NFL Network has Oregon’sย Marcus Mariota rated as this No. 1 quarterback ahead of FSU’sย Jameis Winston. (Andy Fenelon)
  • USC TE Randall Telfer willย visit with the Patriotsย and Falcons in the coming weeksย andย has already met with theย Eagles.ย (Aaron Wilson)
  • Matt Barrows reports thatย Sacramento State WR DeAndre Carter worked out for Cardinals this week and will attend local pro days for the Raiders andย 49ers next week.
  • Matt Miller reports that the Patriots worked Samford Sย Jaquiski Tartt out in South Alabama Wednesday.

Contracts

  • The Broncos signed DL Antonio Smith to a one-year, $2 million deal that includes aย $1.5 million base salary and aย $500,000 bonus. (Aaron Wilson)
  • The Bengalsย signed WRย Denarius Mooreย to a one-year, $825,000 deal that includes a $745,000 base salary and a $25,000 signing bonus . (Aaron Wilson)
  • The Coltsย signed Sย Dwight Loweryย to a one-year, $950,000ย deal that includes a $870,000ย base salary and a $80,000ย signing bonus . (Aaron Wilson)
  • The Vikingsย signed LSย Kevin McDermottย to a two-year, $1.26 millionย that includes base salaries ofย $585,000ย andย $675,000. (Aaron Wilson)

Buccaneers

Jason Cole reports that while the Buccaneers are “overwhelming expected” to draft Florida State QB Jameis Winston No. 1 overall, Oregon QB Marcus Mariota remains an option for them at the top of the draft.

According to Cole, there is something thinking that off-the-field issues regarding Winston could push the team to at least consider going with Mariota.

Ravens

  • Aaron Wilson reports that the Ravens will hostย Nebraska DE/OLBย Randy Gregory for aย visit in the coming weeks.
  • Missouri DE/OLBย Shane Ray will also beย visiting with the Ravens, according toย Aaron Wilson.
  • Aaron Wilson reports that LSU CBย Jalen Collins visited the Ravens.
