NFL Notes: Justin Herbert, Brett Favre, Trevone Boykin

Justin Herbert

  • Tony Pauline reports that NFL scouts he spoke to ranked Oregon QB Justin Herbert as the top NFL prospect in next year’s senior class during their meetings last month.
  • According to Pauline, Herbert received one of the highest grades attained by any senior from the past decade.

Brett Favre

Earlier in the week, Hall of Fame QB Brett Favre surprisingly posted on his Instagram account that he was returning to the NFL, despite being 49 years old.

“I got hacked, absolutely,” Favre said, via Madcitysportszone.com. “Somebody obviously doesn’t have a lot to do. The last thing I want to do is stir the pot. That’s the last thing I want to do is come back and play. No offense, it was fun then.

Favre added: “I’m not coming back.”

Trevone Boykin

  • Former Seahawks QB Trevone Boykin was arrested on Friday on aggravated assault charges stemming from a 2018 incident in which he allegedly broke his girlfriend’s jaw. (ProFootballTalk)
  • Boykin was booked in Tarrant County Jail of Texas on $60,000 bond and denies the allegations against him.
