• Chiefs OLB Justin Houston won the 2014 Deacon Jones Award, which is given to the NFL sack leader.

Bills

• Jason La Canfora reports that he continues to hear that fraction exists between Bills GM Doug Whaley and HC Doug Marrone.

Buccaneers

• Buccaneers signed QB Seth Lobato to a reserve/futures contract. (Greg Auman)

Chargers

• Chargers GM Tom Telesco said they will “definitely” will work to keep QB Philip Rivers in San Diego long term and allow him to retire as a Charger. (Michael Gehlken)
