Kirk Cousins

  • Mike Sando of ESPN takes a look at 14 potential landing spots for QB Kirk Cousins to watch this offseason.
  • Sando’s list includes the Redskins, Cardinals, Browns, Broncos, Bills, Jets, Dolphins, Jaguars, Vikings, Steelers, Giants, Buccaneers, Colts, and 49ers.
  • Sando offers both reasons why these teams could make sense and why it may not work out with Cousins.
  • We have him featured in our Top 25 – 2018 NFL Free Agents list.

Dolphins

Dolphins QB Jay Cutler says he hasn’t given any thought about returning to the NFL next year.

“I haven’t thought about it,” Cutler said of his playing future, via ESPN.com. “You know, I’m focused on [Kansas City]. That stuff will be a concern of mine when the season is over.

“Early on in your career you think you’re going to play forever,” Cutler added. “So if you miss some here or there, you say, ‘Next year, next year.’ As you get older you realize how quickly years start taking off and you have valuable and precious [time].”

A report from earlier in the week mentioned that the Dolphins haven’t ruled out bringing Cutler back next year as Ryan Tannehill‘s backup (NFLTR).

Jaguars

  • Albert Breer tosses out Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell as a potentially interesting GM candidate to watch in the coming weeks.
  • Breer points out that Caldwell no longer has final-say in Jacksonville with Tom Coughlin running the show and he did build a good portion of the team.
  • Breer believes it’s possible that teams put in requests for Caldwell for their GM vacancies.

Seahawks

  • Although it was reported that DT Sheldon Richardson is interested in returning to the Jets in the offseason, he mentioned that there is still a “possibility” of staying him with Seattle: “We’ll see where the chips fall… It’s a possibility of staying here.’’ (Bob Condotta)
  • Richardson said that he has not “heard anything” regarding possible negotiations between the Seahawks and his agent, but he told his agent he wants to remain focused on the regular season: “I haven’t heard anything. That doesn’t mean they are not talking to my agent or anything like that. I told my agent I just wanted to stay focused on the season.’’
  • Seahawks assistant HC/OL coach Tom Cable said the Seahawks were hoping to re-sign OL Mark Glowinski before the Colts claimed him off of waivers. Cable said of Glowinski: the Colts “got a good player.” (Bob Condotta)
