NFL Notes: Richard Sherman, Cam Robinson, Draft, Cardinals

Richard Sherman

Richard Shermanโ€˜s brother, Branton, tells Ian Rapoport of NFL Media that the trade rumors could end being a positive thing for both Seattle and Sherman.

โ€œThis is something thatโ€™s going to play positive on both ends โ€” on the organization that is trying to regain its power and on Richard,โ€ Branton said. โ€œTheyโ€™re making it seem like they donโ€™t need him. This is the same player that everyone doubted and denied, saying heโ€™s too tall, too slow, his hips arenโ€™t good enough, fifth-rounder. This is a new chip Richard is going to use. Heโ€™s going to be like, โ€˜You think you can trade me? Iโ€™m going to show you guys. That you would even talk about trading meโ€ฆโ€™ This is a new obstacle, mentally.โ€

Branton did, however, say that his brother does not want to be traded.

โ€œHe doesnโ€™t want to leave behind that brotherhood,โ€ Shermanโ€™s brother said. โ€œThatโ€™s whatever it is. Itโ€™s a business deal.โ€œ
