Tim Tebow

• Eagles HC Chip Kelly told reporters yesterday afternoon that QB Tim Tebow that he should play in the CFL to get more reps. (Zach Berman)
• Jason La Canfora reports that the Montreal owns Tebow’s rights and has talked to him before and happens to be on its bye week.

Reggie Wayne

• Scott Zolak of the Patriots Radio Network reports that veteran WR Reggie Wayne asked for his release from New England because the “work environment to tough” and “not fun.“

Buccaneers

• Field Yates points out that the Buccaneers will keep the No. 1 waiver priority for the first three weeks of the season, at which point the order will be reset based on team records.
• Aaron Wilson reports that the Buccaneers tried out DB Imoan Claiborne, WR Titus Davis, RB Jahwan Edwards, QB Garrett Gilbert, LB Cameron Gordon, LB Zach Hodges, LB Andrew Hudson, LB Quayshawn Nealy, DL Cedric Reed and TE Tyler Ott.

Steelers

• Aaron Wilson reports that TE Harold Spears, OT Antonio Johnson and RB Dominique Brown are visiting with the Steelers.
