NFL Notes: Tom Brady, Chiefs, Packers, & Ravens

Tom Brady

  • According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, a negotiated compromise between the NFL and Patriots QB Tom Brady remains a possibility.
  • However, Florio mentions that the problem with the idea is that Brady is looking to be fully exonerated in the matter and wants no suspension.

Chiefs

  • The Clarion-Ledger reports that Chiefs undrafted rookie CB Justin Cox was arrested on aggravated domestic violence, burglary of a residence and trespassing charges Monday.

Packers

Packers president Mark Murphy said it was “very disappointing” that three of the team’s players have had off-the-field issues this year. Even so, Murphy said that they currently have no plans to release NT Letroy Guion, TE Andrew Quarless, or DE Datone Jones.

It’s very disappointing,” Murphy said Monday, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “While we’re disappointed in all the situations, we have to let the process play out and see exactly what happens in each situation.”

Ravens

  • Ravens TE Dennis Pitta (hip) is expected to open the season on reserve/PUP, which would cost him the first six games of the 2015 season. (Baltimore Sun)
