Tryouts

• Duke OT Casey Blaser will attend the Lions’ rookie minicamp this weekend on a tryout basis. (Greg Auman)

Cowboys

Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick said he is not concerned about trade rumors that surfaced during the draft or the added competition at cornerback.

“I just control the things that I can control,” Scandrick said, via the Dallas Morning News. “I feel like when I’m healthy and on top of my game, I can compete with anybody. I feel like I’m as good as they can get. I’m confident in my abilities.

“I was here when they drafted Morris No. 6 [overall],” Scandrick added. “I’m just going to come to work and do the same thing and just do me and continue to try to get better.”

Ravens

Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun takes a look at some free agents that could make sense for the Ravens now that free agents won’t count against compensatory picks.

• Seahawks DT Jarran Reed is reportedly being investigated for assaulting a woman in late April, according to Alex Rozier of King5.com.
• Rozier mentions that domestic violence case is open and investigators are looking into the claim, but no charges have been filed up to this point.
