Bengals

Bengals owner Mike Brown was interestingly noncommittal about long-time HC Marvin Lewis‘ status wit the team beyond the 2016 season.

“It’s a process,” Brown explained, via via the Cincinnati Enquirer. “We seem to go through our own dance. But I commend Marvin’s achievements. He’s done remarkably well with our football team here, in recent years especially. I respect him. I like him personally. He’s going to be our coach this year. That’s in the bank. Where it goes, we’ll see how it plays out.”

Buccaneers

  • Following the news that the Browns have signed QB Robert Griffin III, Roy Cummings mentions that trade Interest in Buccaneers QB Mike Glennon will likely wane a bit a
  • Cummings isn’t sure that the Buccaneers are really all that motivated to trade Glennon any ways.

Chargers

  • The Chargers worked out and met with Buffalo TE Matt Weiser this week. (Michael Gehlken)

Lions

  • Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press writes that with Lions P Sam Martin changing agents, it’s possible that an extension could be coming for him.
  • Lions GM Bob Quinn mentioned that contract talks likely won’t pick up until after the draft.

Saints

  • Barry Jackson reports that the Saints were at Miami’s Pro Day working CB Artie Burns, CB Tracy Howard, and S Deon Bush.
