NFL Rumors: Draft, Bears, Cardinals, Packers

Draft

• Albert Breer writes that there is a “chance” that North Carolina’s Mitch Trubisky, Clemson’s Deshaun Watson, and Texas Tech’s Patrick Mahomes are all drafted in the top 15 picks.
• According to Breer, at least 10 teams have shown an interest in trading down, including the 49ers, Bears, Titans, Jets, and Panthers. Breer mentions that are fewer teams are looking to trade up.
• Breer believes that NFL teams like Alabama CB Marlon Humphrey and USC CB Adoree’ Jackson more than many think.
• Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes said he would like the opportunity to continue playing in Texas: “The chance to play for a Texas pro team would be awesome.” (SiriusXM NFL Radio)
• Air Force OLB Ryan Watson has drawn interest from the Texans, Browns, Vikings, Lions, Cardinals, and Packers. (Aaron Wilson)

Bears

• Brad Biggs hears that the Bears are considering Stanford DE Solomon Thomas, LSU S Jamal Adams, and Ohio State CB Marshon Lattimore if they remain at No. 3.
• Even so, Biggs doesn’t rule out the Bears taking a quarterback in Round 1 by trading back and possibly picking up an additional second-round pick.

Cardinals

• Sources tell Brad Biggs that the Cardinals are a team to watch for a possible trade up for Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes.
• Alabama LB Ryan Anderson praised the Cardinals’ coaching staff for tips on how to improve during his pre-draft visit. (Alex Marvez)
