Kristian Dyer of the New York Metro reports that the New York Jets plan to offer recently released DT Kris Jenkins a one-year deal at a lower salary. Jenkins was going to make $6.4 million for next season so releasing him made a lot of sense.
Jenkins has already said that he would like to remain with the team despite the fact that he has been contacted by a number of teams so a deal could get done by tomorrow.
