NFL Rumors: Michael Bush’s Future In Oakland

Michael Bush may not have stole the headlines in the same way that Darren McFadden did this season but was a valuable asset to the teams offense in 2010.

During an interview with Sirius NFL Radio Raiders new head coach Hue Jackson made some comments that would suggest that the team has plans to bring Bush back next season. Jackson referred to McFadden and Bush as solid “1-2 punch.”

Bush will have four years of accumulated service in the NFL which could make him a restricted free agent depending on the new CBA. If this ends up being the case, offering him a one-year tender seems like the most logical idea for the Raiders.

There is no doubt that McFadden is their future but having Bush should not only help them in the time being but could also help to extend McFadden’s effectiveness.
