NFL News: Marvin Lewis Re-signs With The Bengals

Fluidity is the key word of the day or least when it comes to Marvin Lewis and the Cincinnati Bengals. Both Adam Schefter and Jason La Canfora are reporting that Lewis will return as the Bengals coach next season after all.

It’s amazing that how fast things can change but that’s what happens when you are getting updates while negotiations are taking place.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is now reporting that talks between the Bengals and Marvin Lewis have broken off which leaves Lewis’s future with the team uncertain.

This is obviously pretty fluid situation but the fact that the talks have been broken isn’t a good sign that there is any progress left to be made. We’ll have more updates as they become available.

It’s amazing how fast things can change. Yesterday Yahoo Sports Jason Cole reported that the Cincinnati Bengals were prepared to move on without Marvin Lewis but that doesn’t appear to be the case this morning.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the team expects to have Lewis as their coach for the start of next season. Lewis had been outspoken about changes that he felt were needed such as a new practice facility and more scouting personnel.

At least we can remove his name from the 49ers coaching job.
