Raiders head coach Hue Jackson continued to show his support for Chad Ochocinco. This time he even refered to him as his “son.”
“He’s my son,” said Hue Jackson to Bengals.com when asked about his former pupil. “I like him as a young man and really admire what he’s done in Cincinnati and I want to stay in touch with him because I have great respect for him.”
Considering that the relationship between Marvin Lewis and Ochocinco appears to be disintegrating and the fact that the Bengals are on the hook for Chad’s $6 million salary, it would make sense for the team to at least test the waters to see if anyone is interested in him. Oakland has young and talented receiving core so they may be reluctant to part with the kind of compensation that would get the deal done.
