NFL Teams Showing Interest In Veteran OLB Antwan Barnes

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that NFL teams are showing interest in veteran pass-rusher Antwan Barnes.

  • Wilson, unfortunately, doesn’t offer any specifics about the interested interested teams.

The Jets have suffered some injuries at outside linebacker and the Redskins just lost Junior Galette for the season, so they could be two speculative options to keep an eye on.

Barnes, 30, hasn’t found any reported interest since the Jets cut him loose last December.

He’s a former fourth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2007. Barnes spent three years in Baltimore before joining the Chargers as an unrestricted free agent July of 2011.

The Jets later signed him to a three-year contract in March 0f 2013, but he wasn’t able to finish out the agreement.

In 2014, Barnes appeared in five games for the Jets and recorded three tackles.
